Retirement Lars was retired on Monday, 19 November.  I have also updated the photo album to include pictures of Lars this past year.  Liz
21 Nov, Wed Lars passed away this morning in his sleep around 600.  He was such a wonderful person and I am so blessed he chose me to spend his life with.  Lois, Svend  and Lisa were with Lars at the time of his death, he was surrounded by people who loved him deeply, and my mom and I arrived shortly after.  I am just so thankful to have been a part of his life and it brings me great comfort to know that he is in a place where he is no longer in pain.

There will be a memorial service at Columbus AFB and the funeral will be held in Cape Girardeau MO.  I will let you know more details later today.

Liz

20 Nov, Tues Lars is still in the hospital.  He does hear you when you talk to him but can not always respond back.  He is in a lot of pain.
19 Nov, Mon Lars has been having a very hard time walking.  His health has progressively been declining.  This morning he became incoherent and unresponsive.  We rushed him to the hospital.  Lars will be remaining in the hospital, they are better equipped to make sure he is not in pain and to help take care of him.  We are just not able to move him around with out putting him in pain at home since he can not help.

He is receiving IV fluids and morphine every 2 hours which is helping with his pain.  He is my strength, support, best friend, the most wonderful husband, lover and father of our children.  I love him with all my heart and soul and am so thankful that God has blessed us with wonderful family, friends, military family and community to support us through this.

I will try to update the web site daily to keep you abreast of Lars' situation.     Love, Liz

18 Nov, Sun Lisa arrived this evening.
17 Nov, Sat Lars is still extremely tired.
15 Nov, Thurs Lars and I spent the night at a Bed and Breakfast near Columbus.  Although Lars is extremely tired, we needed to spent some quality time together.  Lars had a massage at the B&B - loved it.
12 Nov, Mon Lars was discharged today.  His billirubin is coming down and Dr. Whitecar prescribed morphine for pain and an antibiotic for home.
10 Nov, Sat Lars had a CT scan today.  There is no change from prior CT scans.  Lars is taking morphine for liver and colon pains.
7 Nov, Wed I have been  resting  a lot and too tired to update the  web page.   For the most part I am doing ok, but could be better.

Lars went into the hospital tonight due to a 102 degree fever.  He received two units of blood (red cell count was 2800 should be around 3500) and started him on antibiotics.  Also running blood tests.

4 Nov, Sun Just wanted to add a quick note thanking everyone for their cards, emails, packages, and prayers.  I have received so many it is difficult to respond to each one individually, so I am doing it here in bulk fashion.
2 Nov, Fri Didn't have chemo this Friday, so I spent the evening resting.
